From anniversary model to overland tourer
The GRJ71 is the short one in the J7 family. This one comes from the special series marking the Land Cruiser's 70th birthday and got its travel build with us in several stages: suspension and wheels, recovery and protection, power, cooling and kitchen in the back, roof tent and awning on top.

The build in detail
Suspension and wheels
Old Man Emu suspension with Koni Heavy Track RAID shocks, plus a caster kit and steering damper. On top, OZ Racing wheels in 8×17 with 285/70 R17 BFGoodrich KO2, the fifth wheel as a spare on the rear door. Wheel alignment and approval done at the same time.
Front and recovery
AFN winch bumper for the J7 with a WARN EVO 12-S, 5,443 kg pulling power and synthetic rope. Underneath, the N4 underbody protection kit in 8 mm aluminium.
Lights and comfort
PIAA LPX570 LED driving lights on the bumper, OSRAM Night Breaker LED in the headlights. An E-Cruise II cruise control for long stages, and a Webasto Thermo Top EVO5+ coolant heater with remote for cold nights.
Rear fit-out
A Front Runner drawer system carries the 30-litre Engel fridge drawer and the EcoFlow DELTA Max with 2,016 Wh. Next to it, the Mokubo kitchen box on its own slide, with a mount we made for it. Power, cooling and kitchen are all within reach from the rear door.
Roof tent and awning
Front Runner and Alu-Cab crossbars carry an Eezi-Awn 1600 Series 3 in grey, the 40th edition. Next to it, a 2-metre Alu-Cab 270° awning. An extra crossbar in the middle spreads the load.
Compressor and protection
An ARB twin compressor sits in the engine bay next to the battery, with a pump-up kit to reinflate the tyres after the track. To keep its value, it got TIMEMAX cavity sealing and underbody protection.
