Workshop & Service
You will find more about this area on the matching page.
Do you also do TÜV inspections and modification approvals?
Yes. TÜV Hanse carries out both on site at our workshop. For converted vehicles, this saves you a trip to another testing station. We tell you before the conversion what needs to be registered.
Do you work on all makes?
We focus on off-road vehicles and pickups, older and current alike. Tell us what you drive and we will tell you whether we can help.
Conversions
You will find more about this area on the matching page.
Does a conversion need to be registered?
Many changes to suspension, tyres, lighting and add-ons have to be registered. We tell you before the job which inspection your conversion needs.
What is a parts certificate?
A parts certificate is a test report supplied by the manufacturer for a specific part, for example a suspension kit or underbody protection. It confirms that the part is suitable for your vehicle. In that case a modification inspection under § 19 StVZO is sufficient.
What happens if there is no parts certificate?
Then the inspector examines the vehicle with the fitted part individually. This is called an individual inspection under § 21 StVZO and involves more effort. We clarify with you before fitting whether it is possible.
Do you also convert vehicles that were not bought from you?
Yes, the vehicle does not have to come from us.
Can I bring my own parts?
We prefer to fit parts that we source ourselves. We are not tied to any manufacturer and can supply most well-known brands. In exceptional cases, for example a gift or a voucher, we also fit parts you bring along. If you find a part significantly cheaper elsewhere, talk to us about it.
Roof Tents
You will find more about this area on the matching page.
Will a roof tent fit my vehicle?
In most cases, yes. What matters is the permitted roof load and a suitable rack. Tell us the model and year and we will check it for you.
What does the permitted roof load mean?
The roof load for driving is stated in the vehicle documents. When stationary, the roof carries considerably more, which is why people can sleep in the set-up tent.
What changes when driving?
Vehicle height and centre of gravity change. For heavy setups we therefore also check the suspension.
Can I buy a tent from you and fit it myself?
Yes. If you would rather leave the fitting to us, we will send you a quote on request.
Can I see the tents before buying?
Yes. The popular models are set up in our showroom. You can drop in during opening hours without an appointment; for detailed advice, please call ahead.
Restoration
You will find more about this area on the matching page.
Do you also do full restorations?
No. We carry out partial restorations and work specifically on bodywork, mechanics, underbody and interior. We don't strip vehicles down completely and rebuild them.
Is restoration worthwhile for my vehicle?
We find out during the assessment. What counts is the condition of the chassis, bodywork and mechanics, not the outward appearance. We tell you openly whether the work is worthwhile.
What does a restoration cost?
We give you the price for the agreed scope in the quote after the assessment. Any additional work is agreed with you beforehand.
Can I see the vehicle while the work is in progress?
Yes, you are welcome to visit by arrangement. We're happy to discuss any decisions that come up during the work with you at the vehicle.
Accessories

Can you also get parts that are not listed here?
In many cases, yes. Tell us the part with vehicle and year, and you will receive price and delivery time.
Will the part fit my vehicle?
Tell us your vehicle and year of manufacture in your enquiry so that we can find the right part.
Does the part need to be registered?
Suspension kits and lifts usually do. For add-on parts such as bumpers or auxiliary lights, the part's documentation decides. We tell you before fitting whether an inspection is required; it takes place on site at our workshop by TÜV Hanse.
Can I collect parts from you?
We will discuss with you in your enquiry how you receive a part. We keep some products in stock in our showroom.
