This Defender 90 Td5 was overhauled from the ground up and upgraded both technically and visually. The aim was to keep its classic character while improving quality, everyday usability and ride comfort.

The build in detail
Body and paint
For the respray the vehicle was partly dismantled and then properly reassembled. The body got a full respray in the classic Land Rover colour Grasmere Green, and many fittings, seals and fasteners were replaced.
Heritage exterior
Heritage parts complete the classic look: a silver grille, heritage headlight surrounds, stainless steel lamp rings, a new front bumper, new mirrors with arms, an Offroad-Monkeys aluminium fuel cap and stainless steel sill plates.
Wheels, chassis and soft top
ANR Classic steel wheels in Limestone with 265/75 R16 BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO3, inspected and approved. Plus a Mohair soft top in sand with clear windows. The rear crossmember was de-rusted and protected with Brantho Korrux.
Interior and mechanics
Inside: heated Td4 comfort seats, canvas covers in sand and a Trekfinder sports steering wheel. Plus updated electrics with an Ampire CPR60 radio, FM/DAB antenna and LED headlights (Osram Night Breaker). Mechanically, the dual-mass flywheel, clutch, bearings, air filter box and battery were replaced.
