Toyota Land Cruiser J7

A GRJ79, built without compromise for recovery, self-sufficiency and long-term value retention. Recovery-ready, well-lit, strong on communications and protected for the long haul.

The build

From stock to expedition vehicle

This Land Cruiser GRJ79 was built into a true expedition vehicle with us, geared consistently towards recovery, self-sufficiency and long-term value retention. The camper base build comes from Custom Campers; the expedition-ready equipment comes from us.

Built for the distance

Recovery-ready and self-sufficient

From the winch bumper to the corrosion protection, every detail is designed for serious touring and demanding terrain.

Front bumper and Winch

At its heart is an AFN winch bumper for the Land Cruiser J7 with a bolt-on, removable brush guard. Inside works a WARN ZEON XP 12 winch with 5,443 kg pulling force and synthetic rope, WARN's premium model. Complemented by a wireless remote, ZEON socket extension, battery isolator switch and a Flatlink pulley. Recovery, no discussion.

Raised air intake

An original Toyota J7 snorkel provides clean, watertight-mounted air supply even in the toughest conditions.

See and be reality

For maximum visibility it was extensively upgraded: PIAA LPX570 LED auxiliary lights on the front bumper, OSRAM LED main-beam bulbs with road approval and up to 230 percent more brightness including TÜV certificate, plus Osram Night Breaker H4 LED. A headlight stone-chip guard protects the main headlights.

Traction boards and recovery

Side-mounted MaxTrax traction boards sit on the existing airline rails via a plug-and-play mount. Plus an ARB Premium Recovery Kit with snatch strap, tree-trunk protector, rope extension, shackles and pulley. Everything you need for serious recovery.

Radio in the background

Hidden in the dashboard: a CB radio system with CRT Mike II and President Randy III, plus a Solarcon antenna on the front bumper's hoop and matching accessories.

Corrosion protection and value retention

For long-term protection of the frame and body, the Land Cruiser received the TimeMAX package for long wheelbase with cavity sealing and underbody protection, including rust removal and follow-up treatment.
