Toyota Hilux

Self-sufficient expedition vehicle with a FiftyTen camper cabin. Built for long distance, off-road and self-sufficient camping.

The build

From stock to trail tool

This Toyota Hilux Revo was built into a fully-fledged travel vehicle for long distances, off-road adventures and self-sufficient camping. At its heart sits a high-quality FiftyTen camper cabin, complemented by an extensive technology, suspension and power package.

FiftyTen camper cabin

Your self-sufficient base camp

Comfort, self-sufficiency and off-road capability in one vehicle, ready for travel far off the beaten track.

Suspension & GVWR upgrade

To keep the Hilux composed even with a camper cabin, we fitted a tuned Old Man Emu suspension with air springs on the rear axle and a GVWR upgrade to 3.5 tonnes. Reinforced springs, Nitrocharger Plus dampers and a 50 mm lift bring ride comfort, off-road reserves and clean load distribution, including wheel alignment, TÜV approval and registration.

Wheels for road & terrain

To match the suspension, the Hilux runs on DOTZ Talara aluminium alloy wheels in black with 265/70 R17 BF Goodrich All-Terrain KO3, including TPMS and technical registration. The result is noticeably more composed handling on tarmac, gravel and off-road.

Power & self-sufficiency

The heart of the onboard electrics is a 200 Ah LiFePO4 auxiliary battery from Liontron with Votronic VBCS Triple charging and energy management, a battery computer with smart shunt, shore power, a charge booster and a solar charge controller. On the roof, a flexible 240-watt solar system tops things up, for travel, work and long periods parked up without infrastructure.

Comfort & value retention

A Webasto Air Top 2000 STC air parking heater makes the cabin fit for all seasons and winter. Long-term protection comes from TimeMAX cavity sealing and underbody protection, a key contribution to preserving value in travel and off-road use.
