The build

From pickup to camper

This Dodge RAM 1500 was converted into a fully-fledged travel and camping vehicle at our workshop. At its heart sits the Alu-Cab ModCAP system, complemented by a kitchen, water supply, parking heater and a well-thought-out interior concept.

A well-thought-out ModCAP system combines living, cooking, water and warmth in one vehicle.

Alu-Cab ModCAP Body

At its heart sits the Alu-Cab ModCAP Base 6.5FT with window, combined with the Family roof including an integrated Alu-Cab awning and awning bracket. A matching fitting kit ensures a precise mount on the RAM.

Kitchen at the tailgate

The Alu-Cab ModCAP kitchen in the Deluxe version was fitted at the tailgate, ready to use on the road.

Self-sufficient water supply

An internally mounted water tank with a matching adapter bracket and Molle panel provides a self-sufficient water supply on the road.

Molle system and Storage

Extensive Alu-Cab Molle panels were fitted inside and out, for order, quick access and flexible mounting of equipment instead of loose luggage.

Comfort and insect screens

Mosquito nets for the side and tailgate doors keep the vehicle pleasant to use in any weather and region. An Alu-Cab hardtop-integrated 750 parking heater provides warmth on cool nights and makes the camper suitable all year round.

Spare wheel and electrics

A universal Alu-Cab spare-wheel carrier on the tailgate plus the integration of the LED interior lighting into the power station round off the conversion.
